McLean teen killed in high-speed crash on Capitol Hill

A McLean teenager was killed in an high-speed crash on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol, police said.

The driver, the lone occupant, was identified as 19-year-old Hunter B. Harries.

According to D.C. police, around 3 a.m., Friday, a BMW sports utility vehicle was traveling north on South Capitol Street SE when it struck a flower planter, propelling the SUV airborne and into a tree.

D.C. Fire and EMS took Harries to a hospital where he died.
