Long gone is this week’s Most Wanted fugitive.
Literally. His name is Long, and he’s gone. Been gone for awhile.
Kevin Willie Long is wanted for violating the terms of his parole on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery. He’s has been on the run since at least February 2012, and U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force members believe he’s still in the D.C. area.
Investigators are asking the public for information that can help find him.
“He’s been out for a year and it’s time to bring him back in,” said Matt Burke, supervisory inspector, for the Capital Area Fugitive Task Force.
Long was convicted of attempted murder and armed robbery in 1994 and sentenced to 30 years. On February 27, 2012, a warrant was issued for Long because he violated the conditions of his release.
In addition to the attempted murder and armed robbery convictions, the 39-year-old Long has a history arrests for robbery, weapons, stolen cars and assault.
Long has used several alias names but he may go by Willie or Binki. When he is not in prison, he’s been known to stay in Northwest and Southeast D.C.
He’s listed as 6-feet-tall and 165 pounds. He has a tattoo on left arm and a scar on his nose.
Anyone with information regarding Long should contact the U.S. Marshals at 301-489-1717.
